Here is a mood board of my chosen locations, hopefully he ones I actually are able to use are very similar as therefore will give the video the overall effect which I have visioned. Many aspects of the video will be in pretty much the same location therefore hopefully there will not be to much need for transport allowing all my actors to easily get to the filming location, whereas if I needed there to be many different areas would make it more difficult for my actors as would need a lift every time. This also allows me to shoot many of the scenes in the same day preventing factors from occurring e.g. Actors not being able to get there, weather conditions (if one day is sunny and next is raining it will not fit together), and also locations not looking the same, cars, movement of props or animals.
I have also explored the local area around my school of places which could have potential to be able to film in, for example here are some images and descriptions of potential shot locations:
This piano can be found in one of the music rooms around my school, and I thought as it has a vintage charm about it that it may prove to be a viable asset in my music video. The plain white wall gives a nice clean cut background which will look professional If I were to film a scene or multiple scenes here. Also the room has good lighting so that there is no need for any studio lights or shades.
This old railway bridge has an eary and again vintage feel to it and would be ideal for shooting on top off and below, however I think that it may be too gothic for my video yet it still a potential. It has good lighting during the day but can only really be filmed from one side so that the light it behind and does not affect the shot too much. The natural lighting gives it a fresh and clean feel.
This underpass in the bridge has brilliant lighting I can imagine the actors fooling around to the music, and balloons being thrown about the place as to make it look old yet fun. This would be an ideal filming location however it is a far walk from the school so with all the props and equipment a lift would be required, and also a road goes straight throw it so to get a clear shot it would have to be empty, which could take a while.
This is an old railway station from the late Victorian eara, it looks vintage and cool, therefore could be a potential filming location, however I more like the style of it than the actual location, as it is private property. This location has good lighting and space to shoot but again it is a distance from the school so a lift would again be required.
This house is a nice brick house with the ideal characteristics I want in my shots. It has a Vintage feel to it and great lighting, however it is on a hill and the steps up to the house make it hard to shoot as the actors would have to run up and down them, which could look unprofessional. Again I more like the look of it than the actual location, this allows me to get a greater picture of how my video will look.
Here is a location within school of a music room, which I have set up myself to look like a set, therefore making it look more professional and drawing the viewers eyes away from the background. This location is ideal for my music video as it has space, its very close and the lighting it very good and there is no need for any external lights. Also being natural lighting will make the shots look professional.
This location is just out of the school grounds less than 50ft away and it another ideal location to film, as of the low brick wall and 60's feel to it. It is a classic example of a working class family home and that's exactly the sort of house I want in my video. The lighting is ideal coming from the right of the camera so that when my actors run past they will have a great big cartoon shadow in front of them, adding to the comical feel I am trying to achieve.
